Tanjung Bungah residents will reveal a four-year paper trail of recorded State commitments and unveil their community-backed alternative for a natural coastal park
The Sore Thumb controversy has been reported before—but this press conference will present significant material and a new question that has yet to be answered:
After four years of meetings, recorded commitments and a gazette, why has the residents’ detailed natural-park proposal received no official decision?
At the press conference, residents will present all the documented evidence and ask the Penang State Government to give an official written decision by 20th September 2026 on whether the residents' natural-park proposal will be adopted as the basis for implementation.
